Cameras catch up backstage with ECW Champion, Rob Van Dam moments before his match. With a microphone in hand, The Whole F'n Show begins to speak into the camera, addressing his upcoming tag team match later tonight and also the newly announced ECW One Night Stand pay per view.
Rob Van Dam - Dude, life is great when you're RVD. Not only am I the reigning ECW Champion, but The Alliance gets stronger each and every week. Last week, Triple H and Shawn Michaels got the best of your champion in a triple threat match. But hey, that's cool. I've channeled my energy and mind into the upcoming pay per view announced earlier tonight. ECW One Night Stand is the show of shows and who better than me, R V D to main event that show? They don't call me Mr. Pay Per View for nothing. This week is the start of something good for RVD. This belt right here means more to me than anything in the world and I carry it with pride and honor. It's the year of The Alliance and the year of RVD. I plan on helping The Alliance destroy the WWF and show why ECW was ALWAYS leagues ahead of the competition.
The camera zooms in on RVD as he continues speaking about his match later tonight.
Rob Van Dam - Tonight, yours truly teams up with Rhyno to take on Eddie Guerrero and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Dude, do you guys really think you can handle The Whole F'n Show and The Man Beast?! Rhyno is notorious for steam rolling his opponents and flattening them with a GORE! Eddie, you and I both know the history we have in this ring together. All the different match types we've wrestled in always steals the show. Remember that time I defeated you for the Intercontinental Title way back in 2002? I proved then that not only was I better than you but my 5 star frog splash is way cooler than yours. Nothing has changed up to this point Eddie. I may respect you but tonight will be no different than any of the other matches we've competed in. You'll once again see how much better my frog splash is than yours and you'll also learn why they call me The Whole Dam Show.
Van Dam pauses momentarily and looks around. After a moment of thinking, he begins to speak about Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Rob Van Dam - Stone Cold Steve Austin...the rebel, the self proclaimed toughest S.O.B. in the WWF. I've beaten you before dude, remember? You saw first hand what makes RVD the best wrestler in the world today. You might be all cool and what not with your beer drinking and your middle fingers, but do you think that's gonna help you beat R V D? It's simple Steve...as great as you are, nobody gets higher than RVD. When I climb that top rope moments after Rhyno gore's you through the mat and come crashing down on top of you with a 5 star frog splash, you too will see how great RVD is and why I'm ECW Champion. The Alliance is on a roll and tonight that roll continues. Stone Cold is just a stepping stone for Rob Van Dam en route to ECW One Night Stand. Tonight, I proudly step into that ring as ECW Champion and proudly fight to defend the honor of The Alliance as your ECW Champion.
RVD does his signature pose as the scene fades to black and he continues to prepare for his match later tonight.
